Joao Pessoa
With an incomparable beauty of more than four hundred years, Joao Pessoa, the Paraiba s capital, has its history disclosed in its vast formed architectural collection, specially, of baroque constructions. These constructions, beyond other postal cards, the comfort and tranquillity of the city, and the welcoming of its people, attract tourists from all the Brazil and the world.
Third older city of Brazil, Joao Pessoa has an average of 29C in temperature during all the year. Its climate is an invitation to enjoy the limpid water beaches, some of them desert and one specially reserved for the practice of naturism. Amongst these beaches the highlight goes to the Cabo Branco beach, the one that shelters the most extreme oriental point of the Americas, Ponta dos Seixas. Therefore, in Joao Pessoa the sun rises first, and with its rays it shines on the green of an extensive present vegetation in all its territory, which gave it the title of second greener city of the world.
The most known postcard of the city is the Parque Solon de Lucena s Lagoon, which surrounded of leafy trees and imperial palms, has also the bigger movement in the local commerce. Not very distant, there s the Sanhaua River, which edges shelter the people who originated the city. In this region is the high city, formed by old houses listed for the historic heritage that impress for their magnitude and wealth of details on their constructions.
